Ages 3-4

Foster preschoolers’ critical thinking and problem solving through movement.

For young children, play is the path to learning. It’s the way they expand their cognitive, social, emotional, language and motor abilities. Play challenges children and helps them to understand the world around them.

At Learning Essentials, we use age-appropriate play in a nuturing environment to help children ages 3-4 to develop and grow through creative, movement-based activities.

Kick Start Kindergarten (Brain Camp)

Starting Kindergarten in the Fall

Learning happens best when both the brain and the body are
actively engaged. The Kick Start Kindergarten Camp reinforces
essential academics through physical movement and
prepares incoming kindergartners for their new routine.

As a result, students will gain:
*Problem-solving abilities
*Self-confidence and social skills
*Thinking and language skills
*Physical coordination and spatial awareness

The Kick Start Kindergarten Camp uses a mind and body-activated approach to create an exciting, effective learning experience.

The Kick Start Kindergarten Camp helps students to better understand, synthesize and articulate math and reading concepts:

* Common Core State Standard elements anchor each session
* Certified special educator leads and ensures small class ratio
* Whole body movement reinforces academic concepts

Junior Scientist

Each week students are introduced to a different field of science through a new, interactive exploration. Hands-on activities with peers inspire discovery and new questions.

Starting Strong

Students are introduced to basic study skills, higher-level organization skills and creative problem solving techniques that help them become more confident, effective learners.

Visualize the Future with Reading Goggles

Students are taught visualization techniques that promote an in-depth understanding of text and improve reading comprehension.

Mov’n Up to Middle (Brain Camp)

Students learn how to break down assignments, take notes, prepare for tests, and successfully take tests.

Research and Beyond

Students create a 3-D research report organizer for research notes. They will also be introduced to confidence-building strategies meant to enhance writing and presentation skills.

Mastering Middle (Brain Camp)

Is your child ready for middle school? Everything your student needs to know about making a successful transition can be found in this program. Your child will learn study strategies their elementary teacher never revealed.
